MYNEWHAIR is founded and inspired by professional stylist Trevor Sorbie MBE, offering advice and support to anyone who has experienced medical hair loss. It also has a national support network of independent salons and professionals who provide wig-styling services.
The charity provides nurse-led training seminars for hair professionals, who can then become part of the charity’s national support network of Salons that Care, providing wig-cutting and advice services to anyone with medical hair loss.
Alopecia UK is a national charity working to improve the lives of those affected by alopecia through aims of Support, Awareness and Research.
Support: They provide impartial information, advice and support to help people with alopecia feel less isolated.
Awareness: They raise awareness to the general public and healthcare professionals about alopecia and its psychological impact.
Research: They provide hope and confidence to people with alopecia by funding research into its causes, with the aim of finding treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
